int. victor’s mansion - flashback
victor
Bo – let me call in a few favors. Dr. Rolf has been working on some really
advanced medical procedures. I think he
may be able to help.
bo
Thanks Victor, but I don’t think anyone can help me at this
point. And besides, I don't want to put my
family through any more pain – especially Hope. Do you know what this could do
to her? She’s been through enough with
that whole Aidan ordeal. It's better for her to think I’m dead – I don’t want
her to have her see me go through hell only to die in the end if it doesn’t
work.
victor
Son, I know how much you love your family, but you’ve got to
trust me on this one.
BO looks reluctantly at VICTOR who gives a quick, stern nod.

int. foreign bedroom
One of the mansion’s bedrooms has been set up as a make-shift
hospital room. VICTOR looks in on BO who is recovering from surgery and being
examined by DR. ROLF.
int. brady house – hope’s bedroom – early morning - Present
HOPE is in bed, dreaming.
She starts having visions of a man. She can't see his face - only his
hands. Each vision reveals a bit more of the mysterious man...until she finally
sees that it’s DR. ROLF. She suddenly wakes and bolts upright with fear and confusion
on her face.
hope
(whispering to herself, head in her hands, shaking)
What is going on? He’s dead, Hope.
int. police station – later that day
HOPE is at her desk looking through paperwork. She is interrupted
by more visions. We see flashes of these same visions. A POLICE OFFICER
approaches her desk with a folder in hand.
police officer
(holding folder)
Here’s the report you asked for, commissioner.
(long pause when Hope is not responsive & lost in
thought)
Commissioner Brady?
hope
(snapping out of trance and taking folder from officer,
who then walks away)
Oh, sorry, thanks.
(whispering to herself)
What is happening to me? I’ve got to figure out what these
visions mean.
(pause while we see more glimpses of the visions)
But Dr. Rolf and Stefano are gone – they’re in the past. Just
leave them there, Hope.
int. victor’s mansion
VICTOR sits on his couch reading the newspaper. Knowing of the life-long
rivalry between Victor and Stefano, HOPE arrives to question Victor.
HOPE
Hey Victor.
victor
Hope. What can I do for
you?
hope
I was wondering about Stefano’s henchman, Doctor Rolf. What can you tell me about him?
victor
The man’s dead. That’s what I can tell you. Why?
hope
I’ve been having these visions of him...
victor
(interrupting)
How unfortunate.
hope
(with a smirk)
Victor.
(getting serious again)
I was hoping you could tell me a bit more about what happened
to Dr. Rolf.
victor
What makes you think I know anything about that weasel? You
know about as much as I do. I’ve got
work to do, now if you’ll excuse me.
hope
But Victor - I
victor
(abruptly cutting her off)
Sorry I can’t help. Henderson will show you out.
HOPE leaves, not fully believing VICTOR but knowing him well
enough to know she's not going to get any more info out of him. Victor picks up
the phone.
int. brady house – Hope’s bedroom - night
HOPE is asleep in bed.
She keeps having her visions - each vision offers new clues. First a
man's hands, then the back of his head, then a necklace (the necklace is BO’S
familiar necklace). Hope wakes up with a scream.
hope
(confused, tears
welling up in her eyes)
You feel so close, Brady. Why do you feel so close to me? Could
this be real? Could you really be alive?
int. victor’s mansion – the next day
HOPE barges into VICTOR’S living room the next morning with
more questions. MAGGIE sits with Victor on the couch where they are having tea.
hope
Victor, there has to be something you’re not telling me.
victor
Good morning to you too, Hope.
hope
Victor – I’m serious. I
want to know what happened to Dr. Rolf.
victor
(getting agitated and raising his voice)
Hope, I told you – there’s nothing to tell! You have got to let
this go!
maggie
Hope, what is this all about?
You’re upsetting Victor.
hope
I’m sorry Maggie...I’ve been having these visions, and I know
it has something to do with Bo...and Dr. Rolf...and...
victor
(yelling)
Enough! I’m not going to listen to any more of this non-sense!
You can show yourself out.
VICTOR abruptly leaves the room in anger.
maggie
Hope, I really think it’s best if you leave. I don’t appreciate you upsetting Victor like
that - you know he has a bad heart.
hope
I’m...I’m really sorry, Maggie.
I didn’t mean...
MAGGIE turns and leaves the room. HOPE slowly walks out,
visibly upset with the way things went.
int. police station
HOPE is sitting at her desk, still distracted by the visions.
She decides she needs help and calls STEVE to convince him to come back to
Salem.
hope
Steve – it’s Hope. I’ve
got a favour to ask. You know I wouldn’t
ask if it wasn’t important.
steve
And YOU know, I would do anything for you, sweet thing.
HOPE
When you worked for Victor back in the day, did he own any other
properties outside of Salem?
steve
Yeah, that bastard has a bunch of them all over the globe. Why?
hope
We need to check them out.
steve
What? Why? What’s going on, Hope?
hope
All I can say is that I have a really strong feeling we’ll find
Bo at one of them.
steve
What did you just say?
hope
I know, I know, it sounds ridiculous...but you’ve got to trust
me, Steve – Bo is alive.
