KIMBERLY, SHANE, and ROMAN stare at the open passage way, then
look at one another in awe.

Well, what do we have here?
steve
Looks like an invitation to me.
kimberly
Ooooh - I wish I had never touched that book!
shane
Well you did. And now we’re at a bit of a crossroads. This room
is not on the blueprints. I think we should probably call Billie let her know
what we've found before we go nosing around in there.
kimberly
I had a bad feeling you were going to suggest we go nosing
around in there.
roman
I also think we should call Hope and Steve to let them know as
well.

Agreed.
ext. victor’s italian Mansion – vineyards
KAYLA’S eyes meet with EJ’S. KAYLA is afraid to say anything. STEVE is looking at ISABELLA who is calling for
them.

Your tow truck has arrived!
Steve tugs on Kayla’s hand.
steve
Come on, sweetness.
kayla
(eyes locked on EJ)
Wh- oh, yeah, OK.
EJ watches STEVE and KAYLA walking away.
V/O EJ
(thinking to himself)
Did she recognize me? God, please, please recognize me.
STEVE and KAYLA follow ISABELLA down the driveway towards their
car. We can see a TOW TRUCK DRIVER
waiting at the end of the driveway.

(to Isabella)

ISABELLA turns back up the driveway towards the house.
STEVE and KAYLA continue and meet the TOW TRUCK DRIVER at the
end of the driveway.

(in a thick Italian accent)
Where would you like me to tow your car, Signore?
steve
You can take us to the Villa Rosa Inn – there’s a mechanic
across the street who can take a look at it.
STEVE and KAYLA hop in the tow truck as the driver starts to
load the car. We see Kayla’s pensive face. She looks concerned and a little
confused.
int. villa rosa inn, italy – STEVE & Kayla’s room
STEVE and KAYLA enter their room at the inn.
Steve
Alright sweetness - what's going on? You didn’t say a word the
entire ride back.
kayla
I didn't want to say anything at the house or in the truck...but
did you get a good look at the man in the
shackles?
steve
The worker in the vineyard? Not really, why?
kayla
He’s not just any worker. He’s EJ DiMera.
int. victor’s greek mansion – medical wing
HOPE, CIARA, SHAWN, and CHELSEA walk to the medial wing. As
they enter one of the rooms, HOPE’S cell phone rings. Ciara, Shawn, and Chelsea
start searching the room. Hope digs her phone out of her pocket and answers it.

Hope, it’s Shane. You are not going to believe this but we’ve
stumbled across a secret passageway in the palace.

I would have expected as much in one of Stefano’s mansions, but
Victor’s? Have you checked it out yet?

No. We thought we better call and let you know about it before
we head in. You know, if there’s a secret passageway, there’s a chance it leads
to a secret room. And if there’s one here in Dubai, there could be one in
Greece too.

HOPE hangs up her cell phone and joins in on the search of the
medical facility.

That was Shane. He says they found a secret passageway in
Dubai.
Ciara
No way!
hope
They’ll let us know what they find. So keep your eyes peeled
for anything that doesn’t match up with the blueprints – there could be
something hidden here too.
chelsea
(who is distractedly looking around in awe)
Wow! Would you take a look at this place – it’s so high-tech!
shawn
Grandpa Vic must’ve spent a fortune in here.
ciara
He can afford it. But why? He’s not sick is he?
Shawn
Maybe it’s for Grandma Caroline.
HOPE walks over to a desk with two computers on it.
hope
How are your hacking skills, kids? I’m curious to see what’s on
these 2 computers.
shawn
I’ll see what I can do.
SHAWN and CIARA both sit down at the computer desk to try to
hack in. HOPE walks over to a lab table and runs her hand along the edge as she
walks past. She suddenly has a vision of BO lying on the table, wincing in
pain. Hope audibly gasps and snaps out of the vision with a look of terror on
her face. CHELSEA notices Hope’s face.
chelsea
Hey...don't worry. We’ll find him.
CHELSEA puts her arm around HOPE’S shoulders. Hope turns and
hugs her.
hope
I’m glad you’re here, Chelsea. Your dad would be so proud of
you.
(pause as they exchange a smile)
Now come on - let's get back to work!
chelsea
(to Shawn & Ciara)
Any luck with the computers?
shawn
Not yet.
(turning to Ciara)
Sis?
ciara
Nope. All password protected and I’m no hacker.
shawn
Me neither.
SHAWN and CIARA both stand up and look at HOPE who is looking
at an MRI machine, a cat scan machine, and various high-tech medical equipment.
hope
There’s more equipment here than there is at University
Hospital.
HOPE looks at the kids.
shawn
Mom – I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking this is the kind of equipment
needed to save dad... aren’t you?
HOPE smiles with raised eyebrow.
int. victor’s greek mansion – tunnels
BO snaps out of his memory. He turns to VICTOR with tears in
his eyes.

Dad, I- I- I almost shot you! Why would I do that?
victor
Look Bo, you didn’t do it. I’m still here – no harm done.
Forget it.
bo
Hope was there...and a whole bunch of other people too. Where
were we? What was I doing?
victor
Let it go, son. It’s not important.
bo
It’s important to me.
BO looks desperately at Victor.
victor
Well, if you have to know...we were at this gala...

int. GALA - flashback
Flashback to May 23, 1986 (original footage) of BO holding a
gun on VICTOR and Caroline yelling at Bo not to shoot because he's his father.

int. victor’s greek mansion – tunnels – present
BO appears upset with himself after hearing what he did.

I’m so sorry, dad. Can you forgive me?
victor
Think nothing of it. It was a long time ago. It’s all water
under the bridge.
BO still appears upset and starts to pace again.
bo
I don’t know how much more I can take of these tunnels. I’ve
gotta get out of here.

(to Victor)
Why don't we take the tunnel out to the dock and go out on the yacht? At least we’ll get some fresh air.
victor
What, and risk Hope seeing us? Even if we did make it on board,
she’ll notice the yacht leaving and she’ll know something’s up. We are going to
have to stay here for the time being.
