episode 16
INT. Italian Airport – boarding area
STEVE and KAYLA are sitting in the airport terminal waiting for
their plane to board.
kayla
I can’t remember when I’ve done this much flying. I don’t
have the fondest memories of airplanes.
steve
You OK? You need something to calm your nerves?
STEVE pulls a flask out of an inside jacket pocket.
kayla
Steve!
(hitting him in the arm)
What are you doing with that? How did you even get that in
here?
steve
Woah – careful there. You almost made me spill.
kayla
Can you at least wait until we are on the plane?
steve
You know I’m not good at waiting for things.
STEVE winks at KAYLA and puts the flask back in his jacket.
kayla
(with a chuckle)
I do know.
We hear a voice over the PA system announcing that their flight
is now ready for boarding.
kayla
Well, wait no more – let’s go!
STEVE smiles and the two of them stand up to join the line of
passengers waiting to board. Steve’s cell phone rings and he answers it.
steve
Billie – what’s up?
(pause, a look of fear comes over his face)
What?
kayla
What is it?
steve
(to Billie on the phone, ignoring Kayla)
Well what happened?
KAYLA is concerned and tries to listen in to the phone call,
but STEVE pulls away.
steve
So you got nothing?
(pause)
OK, man. Keep us posted.
STEVE hangs up his phone shaking his head in disappointment.
kayla
What’s going on?
steve
Billie says the team she sent to Victor’s house found our
friend Michael, the grounds worker, dead.
kayla
What?
steve
And EJ was nowhere to be found. The team is questioning
Isabella, but she doesn’t seem to know much.
kayla
Did Billie say how long ago they think EJ got away? Do they
have any leads?
steve
No, she did say that it looks like Michael was strangled to
death sometime last night.
kayla
Wow.
(pause in thought)
So now what?
steve
We leave as planned and watch our backs. Hope’s expecting us.
STEVE pulls the flask out of his jacket again and hands it to KAYLA.
Kayla snatches the flask out of Steve’s hand and takes a quick swig with a look
of concern on her face.
int. victor’s DUBAI PALACE – passageway
ROMAN, SHANE, and KIMBERLY are all staring at the keypad on the
wall.
roman
There’s no way we’re just going to be able to guess the code to
whatever’s behind door number 2.
shane
Maybe we should let Kimberly have a turn at it - she got us
this far.
kimberly
I am not touching
that thing. This all feels so wrong. I've been saying that I have a bad feeling
about this since we started.
shane
I think maybe we should take a picture of it and send it to Billie.
Maybe she can come up with something back at head quarters.
roman
Good idea.
SHANE pulls out his phone, takes a photo, and sends it to
Billie.
int. victor’s greek mansion – medical wing
HOPE sits at the computer with SHAWN, CIARA, and CHELSEA
gathered around behind her. She is scrolling through files, opening and closing
them. Suddenly an image of an MRI opens on the screen. We see the shocked faces
of all four of them.

It’s Bo’s MRI – the one Kayla took in Salem.
shawn
Are you sure? All the names have been blacked out.
hope
(remembering with intense sadness)
I’m sure. I will never forget what that tumor looks like.
HOPE clicks on the next computer file to open it. We see a
similar MRI image pop up on screen, except this time the tumor is gone. Hope
gasps.
CHELSEA
(quietly to herself)
Oh my God.
Silence fills the room for a moment while HOPE, SHAWN, CIARA,
and CHELSEA take in what they are seeing. We see the looks of disbelief on
their faces and the two MRI’s – one with a tumor and one without. HOPE stands
up slowly and walks away from the computer, visibly shaken. She turns her back
to the kids to hide her state of shock and building emotions.

(staring blankly in shock)
Shawn, can you send those images to Kayla? Maybe she can confirm
whether or not its Bo’s.
SHAWN rushes over to stand behind HOPE and CIARA sits at the
computer.
shawn
Mom, are you OK?
hope
Yeah, sweetie, I’m fine. I just need to find your dad. I know
he's here. And now these MRI images are just more proof to me.
HOPE’S hands are shaking as she puts them to her face, on the verge
of crying.
shAWN
You’re not fine. Look at you – you’re shaking. It's OK if
you’re upset. You don't need to hold it all in. You don’t need to protect me...
(he glances back at Ciara and Chelsea)
...to protect us.
HOPE starts crying and turns to bury her head in Shawn’s chest.
ciara
(staring at the computer screen)
Mom – mom! You’re not going to believe this!
HOPE gathers herself, quickly wipes the tears from under her
eyes, and goes over to look at the computer.

Oh my God.
int. victor’s greek mansion – tunnels
We see BO sitting at a desk with a tray of food in front of
him. He is staring off into space and not touching his food.
victor
All done?
(pause when Bo does not respond)
Bo? Is everything OK?
bo
It’s Hope. Something’s wrong.
victor
Bo, come on. How could you possibly know that?
bo
I, I don’t know. I can’t explain it. I just know.
fade to:
SPLIT SCREEN - int. greek mansion tunnels – int. medical wing
Split screen of BO staring with a look of concern on his face
(RS), while we also see HOPE staring at the computer screen with a look of
disbelief on her face (LS).
